MATERIALS • 825-213 Lion Brand AmazingTM Yarn: Regatta 3 Balls • Lion Brand Knitting Needles- Size 9 [5.5 mm] • Lion Brand Split Ring Stitch Markers • Large-Eye Blunt Needles (Set of 6) GAUGE: 18 sts = 4 in. (10 cm) in Garter st (k every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles. STITCH EXPLANATION: kfb (knit into front and then back) An increase worked as follows: 1. Knit the next st through the front loop, but do not remove the st from your left hand needle. 2. Knit the same st once more, this time inserting your needle through the back loop of the st. You will have created 2 loops (sts) on your right hand needle. 3. Drop the st from your left hand needle – you have increased 1 st. NOTES: 1. Scarf is made from a series of triangles that are attached to each other as you knit them. 2. All sl sts should be slipped as if to knit. Move your working yarn to the back before slipping a st. SCARF Cast on 20 sts. Right Triangle Note: Triangle is worked in short (partial) rows. Knit only as many sts as instructed, then turn piece and work the next row, leaving the remaining sts unworked.
